The Game of LIFE

Life was so simple back in elementary school days. I remember time at friends houses playing the Game of Life, and dreaming of what would come in the future, all while going around the game board and living my best pretend life! We would then play M.A.S.H, letting the dots in the swirl decide the fate of our housing, whether we would end up in a Mansion, Apartment, Shack or a House. It also decided who we would marry, how many kids we would have, what kind of car we would drive; all the adult decisions we dreamt of as a kids.

Now that I am grown up, I know that a game board does not prepare me for adulting at all! I have to make the plans to make those things happen. I have to put the work in to make those plans a reality, and none of it is as easy as spinning wheel on a game board. But it is also way more fulfilling to be living my actual life rather than playing a game about the infinite possibilities!
